Dear Colleague,

Please find attached information about a 3 hour Managing Stress in the Workplace taster course being offered free by the Open University that will run on Thursday 10th April between 6.00pm and 9.00pm in the UNISON Resource Centre, 53 Shore Street, Inverness.

The short course will examine the causes and effects of stress, helping learners develop an awareness and understanding of stress, as well as exploring the possibilities for minimising and managing stress.

Please find attached:

*    A poster about the course which you can use to advertise the course in workplace (there is a space for the ULR to insert their name and contact details)

*    A course interest form which must be completed by any interested learners and returned to Diana Nicholls, at email: dnicholls@stuc.org.uk Fax:  01463 248905 or by post to Diana Nicholls: Admin Assistant, Scottish Union Learning, UNISON Building, 53 Shore Street, Inverness IV1 INF.

*    Completed course interest forms should be returned by 5pm on Wednesday 26th March 2014.

Can you please note the following:

*    The course is open to both union and non-union members in Inverness and surrounding areas.   Priority for places will be given to union members.

*    The course is fully funded by Open University.

*    Just because someone completes a course interest form does not automatically mean they have secured a place on the course. We will let applicants know week beginning 31st March whether they have been successful/unsuccessful in securing a place on the course.  We will also let relevant ULRs know of any of their members who have been allocated a course place.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Pam
